Maker Days

What does it take to be an innovator? To find the answer, come tinker, experiment, and create alongside some of Seattle’s most innovative makers. From art to crafts to technology- explore maker culture’s endless possibilities!

Maker Days take place the last Saturday of each month, and are included with museum admission. Each drop-in event features a different local organization, company, or artist that leads activities designed for all ages and skill levels. Past Maker Days have included: 3-D printing, book making, extracting strawberry DNA, and more!

Getting Creative

DIY Camera Projects

For one Maker Day, visitors used their smartphones to experiment with photography, including homemade pinhole filters, DIY tripods, and long-exposure photos.

Calling All Makers!

Interested in working with MOHAI as a Maker Day partner? MOHAI’s Education Department is always on the look out for local makers and designers to create with museum visitors. Maker Days highlight the work of local innovators in all disciplines, provide opportunities to play, and reinforce themes of the Bezos Center for Innovation. Help show that everyone can be an innovator!
