Maker Day: Plant-Based Art and Chemistry

This event has passed.

This month, learn to make non-toxic inks and paints from plants found throughout the city with the makers at ARTLAB. Experiment with different botanical dyes and pigments to explore solubility rules, tinker with pH levels, and make creative artwork using plants and chemistry. February’s Maker Day is great for those who love to garden, cook, make art, or all of the above!

ARTLAB manufactures artist inks and paints from locally sourced botanicals. They are committed to no-waste agriculture and work with local farms to source plants that yield great color but would otherwise end up being composted.
