Masks Are Required
In order to protect all of our visitors, MOHAI is continuing to require masks for museum entry for all visitors over the age of 2. If you forgot your mask, limited masks are available onsite, and locally made masks are available to purchase in the MOHAI Mercantile.
Timed Tickets are Recommended for Entry
Museum capacities may be limited, so we strongly recommend that all visitors, including MOHAI members, reserve a time slot prior to arrival. Click here to reserve/purchase timed tickets now.
Timed tickets are required to ensure admission. A 40-minute window will be printed on tickets for entry. Walk up admissions will be accommodated as we are able. For worry-free entry, advance timed tickets are recommended.
Upon arrival, there may be a short wait as museum staff check-in and orient visitors. Please note that our entry queue is outdoors, so plan accordingly for the weather.
Social Distancing is Encouraged
Da Vinci —Inventions is opening on July 31, 2021. All of our permanent exhibits are also open, including The Bezos Center for Innovation, True Northwest: The Seattle Journey, and Maritime Seattle. KidStruction Zone on the third floor is currently closed.
We encourage keeping your party at a safe distance from other groups. A suggested one-way path and floor markers are now located throughout the galleries spaced six feet apart as a reminder of safe social distancing.
Museum interactives are updated to reduce the amount of contact required. Visitors are given styluses to use with the interactive exhibits. Our films are available to view, but seating is limited for each showing to promote social distancing.
Exhibits and Public Areas are Sanitized
Museum staff are sanitizing surfaces regularly for safety. Hand sanitizing stations are located throughout the museum.
Group Visits are Limited
Group size is limited to parties of 10 people. We are unable to accommodate school groups and tour groups at this time.
Food and Drink
MOHAI is thrilled to announce the reopening of our cafe: Gourmondo at MOHAI! A long-time catering partner of the museum, Gourmondo has more than twenty years of experience in Seattle and focuses on fresh, flavorful meals made from locally-sourced ingredients. Please join us for coffee and pastries, soups, salads, sandwiches, beer, wine, and even ice cream. MOHAI members save 10%!
You may bring and eat your own food in the Microsoft Lakefront Pavilion on the first floor at a safe social distance from other parties. Food and drink are not allowed in the rest of the museum, but visitors are welcome to reserve a locker during their visit to store items while exploring the gallery spaces.
Visit the MOHAI Mercantile to shop a selection of items from local artists, as well as books, jewelry, and souvenirs. Locally made face masks are also available.
Exploration and Innovation Backpacks
Youth activity backpacks are currently unavailable.
Coat Check and Lockers
A self-serve Coat Check space is available. Limited lockers are available to store items and will be sanitized between uses. Please reserve a locker at the museum admissions desk.
Digital versions of our Map and Gallery Guide, along with our Audio Tour in English and Spanish, are available on your mobile device. Text MOHAI to 565-12 or use this link to access before or during your visit: https://bycell.mobi/MOHAI
