Spend summers with MOHAI and go adventuring!

Looking to investigate innovation, practice creative writing, or go on seafaring adventures? Each summer, MOHAI partners with different organizations around Seattle bringing fun camps to kids. MOHAI members receive discounts, too!

2020 Summer Camp Update

In accordance with the directives from Washington State Governor Inslee and King County Executive Constantine regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, MOHAI is temporarily closed to the public and suspending onsite operations. Due to this temporary closure, our onsite summer camps scheduled for the 2020 season are cancelled. MOHAI’s top priority continues to be the health and safety of our guests, volunteers and employees.

Thank you for your patience and support as we work to keep our community safe during this challenging time. We look forward to welcoming you and your family back to the museum soon. Until then, we invite you to connect with MOHAI in a new digital way. You will find fun and unique ways to explore History at Home with your friends, family, and the young people in your life. Wishing you and yours health and safety, and hope to see you at MOHAI soon.

Back to the Future: Innovate!

What is innovation and where do new ideas come from? Spend your mornings at the Museum of History and Industry (MOHAI) where we’ll learn the special skills that help us get creative and think differently. At Pacific Science Center, spend the afternoons exploring solar power, wind energy, bridge design, and how science is shaping the future.

Campers spend the first half of the day at MOHAI and the second half at Pacific Science Center. Drop-off at MOHAI and pick-up at Pacific Science Center.

*Please note: This camp is cancelled.*

Partner: Pacific Science Center

Location: AM: MOHAI (drop off), PM: Pacific Science Center (pick up and extended care)

History Hijinks

Mysterious things are afoot at MOHAI! Artifacts aren’t where they should be, and historical information has inexplicably gone missing. Your stellar investigative skills are desperately needed to solve these mysteries. You’ll team up with a MOHAI teacher to combine all of the skills needed to be a top-notch history detective.

When you’re not getting to the bottom of these pressing unsolved mysteries, you’ll read stories, make art, and explore the nooks and crannies of the museum along the way. With your SCT teaching artist, you will enter an interactive dramatic story that you help create as you act it out. Examine artifacts closely, travel to far away time periods, and help get the museum back together.

*Please note: This camp is cancelled.*
