Cocktails & Clothing: Designing Sustainable Fashion

This event has passed.

Get ready for an evening of cocktails and creativity!

We’re toasting the new wave of sustainable fashion by bringing together local designers for a one-night-only celebration at the museum.

Witness the unique design process of Janelle Abbott as she constructs a one-of-a-kind garment out of recycled fabric live at the event, try your hand at fun and funky upcycling with Malia Peoples, or peer into your fashion future with Fashion Oracle cards read by Makeda Akmoa.

Discover a range of sustainable garments at pop-up shops by Prairie Underground and Zakiya Cita—who will be featuring her new line Chayah Refashioned, made from upcycled button-down shirts. Take home your purchases that night to build your own wardrobe of sustainable fashion!

Enjoy the jazz stylings of the Jeremy Bacon Trio while you try on clothes, and remember the evening with a live sketch created by fashion illustrator Galina Adzhigirey.

Free cocktail included with ticket. Cocktails provided by 3 Howls Distillery.
