History Makers Nominate a Hero 2020

August 1, 2020

NOMINATE A HERO AND HELP SEATTLE’S MUSEUM OF HISTORY & INDUSTRY (MOHAI) CELEBRATE INDIVIDUALS AND ORGANIZATIONS WORKING TO IMPROVE OUR CITY, AND OUR QUALITY OF LIFE

MOHAI seeks nominations that demonstrate acts of kindness, heroism, and change—big and small
Nominate A Hero

Through September 8
Seattle, WA – The 2020 MOHAI History Makers Event is going virtual on Friday, November 6!

Save the date and help us celebrate History Makers in our community. This year, the museum is paying tribute to everyday heroes across our region who have persevered during this unprecedented time in our history.

Help MOHAI celebrate individuals and organizations working to improve our city, our quality of life, and who have risen to the challenges created by our nation’s social injustices and the current public health crisis. The museum seeks nominations that reveal acts of kindness, heroism, and change—big and small. Nominees can come from any field. Examples include non-profit, government, restaurants, education, healthcare, social activism, technology, entrepreneurs, manufacturing, and more.

Nominate everyday heroes and history makers by Tuesday, September 8. Honorees will be announced and celebrated at the 2020 MOHAI History Makers Virtual Event on November 6 and in a future pop-up display at the museum.

MOHAI’s signature fundraising event promises to be as festive as ever from the comfort of your living room, with extended silent auction and donation opportunities leading up to the main event. The generosity of supporters like you helps MOHAI empower our community and connect the past to our present and future. Please join us for this special evening!

History at Home

Although MOHAI is temporarily closed to visitors, we remain committed to our mission to collect and share the stories of our community. And the biggest story right now is the impact of the COVID-19 crisis and our region’s response. As this story evolves, we are already witnessing that, in this place of innovation, we are coming together and collaborating across boundaries to ensure the well-being of this remarkable place we call home.

During this historic moment, we invite you to connect with MOHAI in a new digital way with History at Home. Find fun and unique ways to explore history at home with your friends, family, and the young people in your life.
