MOHAI members are invited to spend the day in one of Seattle’s oldest urban orchards, Piper’s Orchard, and help make a difference in our community. Join fellow MOHAI members and friends as we team up with City Fruit to harvest apples and pears that would otherwise go to waste. We will donate our harvest to local hunger-relief agencies and celebrate the season with fresh pressed cider made on City Fruit’s own press!
The program begins at the Piper’s Orchard parking lot at 10 am. Once all have arrived, we will walk to the orchard (approximately ¼ mile down a trail). A short orientation will be provided. Weather appropriate outdoor clothing, closed toed shoes, sunscreen and refillable water bottles recommended. Best suited for volunteers ages 8 and older.
Location: Piper's Orchard
Cost: Free for MOHAI Members
