History Café: Telling Tales with the Seattle Storytellers Guild

Join three Seattle Storytellers Guild members for an evening of Seattle stories ranging from historic to recent!

Mrs. Nettie Craig Asberry: Activist and Woman of Action by Eva Abram: Hear the story of Mrs. Nettie Craig Asberry, an African-American activist who worked for civil rights and women’s suffrage.

Frederick and Nelson: Shoppers’ Paradise by Anne Brendler: Dive into memories of the Frederick and Nelson department store, a favorite with Seattle shoppers for nearly a century.

Fulfilling Her Dreams and Passions by Afifi Durr: Learn how Lebanese American activist Afifi Durr dedicated her career and volunteer hours to creating better cultural understanding between the East and West.

VISIT TODAY AND SEE HOCKEY HISTORY

For one day only, the Hockey Hall of Fame will be at MOHAI showcasing historic items from the Seattle Metropolitans, 1917 Stanley Cup Champions. All hockey fans are welcome to visit the museum this Free First Thursday from 10 am—5 pm.
