Hammons House Talk

This event has passed.

As a special holiday treat, make sure to visit MOHAI’s popular miniature Hammons House from 1–3 pm during Greet the Season on November 25. The museum’s Collection Manager Betsy Bruemmer and special guest Robert Sondheim, who served as caretaker of the Hammons House for many years, will be on hand to answer questions and offer behind-the-scenes insights about this remarkable miniature mansion.

The Hammons House is one of the most beloved objects in MOHAI’s collection of over 100,000 artifacts. It was completed in 1948 and given as a gift to the Seattle Historical Society in 1955, now known as the Museum of History & Industry. The Hammons House is festively decorated for the holidays and shown with a pair of original portraits that also appear in miniature inside the house.

Location: MOHAI

Cost: Free for MOHAI members; Included with museum admission
