GAGV Grand Conversation 3.0: Women on Guns 2022

This event has passed.

Grandmothers Against Gun Violence (GAGV) in partnership with MOHAI invites you to the Grand Conversation 3.0 on October 25, 2022, from 5:00-7:00 PM.

Between January 2019 and April 2021, 7.5 million adults became new gun owners. Approximately half of them were female. Women made up the fastest-growing group of gun owners in the country. Why are they buying guns? The number one reason is for their protection. Join Margaret Heldring of GAGV, former Seattle Police Chief Carmen Best, Naomi Ishisaka of the Seattle Times, technology expert Ralph Fascitelli, Greg Jackson of Community Justice Action Fund, and Dr. Deborah Azrael, Director of Research of the Harvard Injury Control Research Center for the conversation Women on Guns: Fallacies, Facts, Risks, and Remedies.
