Visit MOHAI on the First Thursday of every month for free admission to the museum’s permanent exhibits between 5 pm—8 pm.
Free admission includes: True Northwest: The Seattle Journey, Maritime Seattle, Kid-Struction Zone, and the Bezos Center for Innovation.
From 6-7pm in the Grand Atrium, MOHAI will host the 5th Avenue Theatre’s Educational Touring Company for a special community performance.
Children, families, and guests of all ages will enjoy a FREE musical theater production of Northwest Bookshelf-a compilation of stories by Pacific Northwest authors. Following the performance, there will be a 10-minute Q&A with the cast.
Northwest Bookshelf brings stories of the Pacific Northwest and the magic of musical theater to everyone!
The 2022-23 Northwest Bookshelf includes musical theater adaptations of the following stories:
- Alaska’s Three Pigs by Arlene Laverde
- A Normal Turtle by Doug Reynolds
- Narwhal: Unicorn of The Sea by Ben Clanton
- Super Narwhal & Jelly Jolt by Ben Clanton
- Sonya’s Chickens by Phoebe Wahl
ASL Interpretation is available during the program.
Seats will be available on a first-come first-served basis, with a special seating area for children on the floor. Standing room will be available for overflow.
