Collections Digitization Intern

Position Title: Collections Digitization Intern

Reports to: Collections Digitization Specialist; Registrar

Location: MOHAI, at the Resource Center in Georgetown

Classification: Intern, Unpaid

Schedule: 4-6 hours per week on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday between 9am and 5pm. Additional hours are negotiable if desired. This is a three month internship with possibility for renewal. Start and end date flexible to accommodate intern schedule.

Position Description:

This internship will primarily involve assisting MOHAI’s Collections Digitization Specialist with the entire project process including imaging, processing and cataloging artifacts selected for the digitization project. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience working on a large scale collections digitization project, working with historic artifacts, working with a collections database, and to be mentored by collections professionals. Training and mentorship will be provided. The intern in this position will report to MOHAI’s Resource Center in Georgetown.
