Urban Food Foraging: A Walking Tour

Spend an afternoon on the University of Washington campus for a walking tour that uncovers Seattle’s bounty of wild food resources. Led by Arthur Lee Jacobsen, plant expert and author of Wild Plants of Greater Seattle, this tour will teach you how to identify edible plants and the art of urban food foraging.

A lifelong Seattle resident, Arthur Lee Jacobson began studying plants when he was 17. While earning a history degree at the University of Washington, he bicycled around the city learning about its trees. He has published numerous books, articles and guides to trees and other plants. Jacobson has extensive experience leading plant tours and is currently writing a book about edible house plants.

Tour begins at the UW School of Law in front of William H. Gates Hall. Comfortable shoes recommended.
