Uncovering the History of Seattle’s Black Community: Historians Mary Henry and Jacqueline E.A. Lawson

This event has passed.

Update: Due to unforeseen circumstances, Jacqueline E. A. Lawson will not be able to participate in the program. We are pleased to announce that Josephine Stokes will be speaking in her place.

Join Mary Henry and Josephine Stokes as they share their work documenting the history of Seattle’s black community. Learn about Seattle’s Central District as it was in the mid-20th Century, as well as the significant African American leaders who have shaped our region.

Presented in partnership with the Black Heritage Society of Washington State (BHS).
