Exhibits
Each year, MOHAI features a rotation of signature exhibits in addition to the museum’s core exhibits. Exhibit sponsors receive prominent recognition with a large and diverse audience.
Accessibility
MOHAI strives to broaden access to Puget Sound’s history and to the museum; each year 45% of all admissions are free of charge or at a discounted rate. Free programs like waived admission for youth 14 and under, Free First Thursdays, and K-12 scholarships are widely popular within the community and provide opportunities for brand exposure that generates good-will among broad populations.
Programs
MOHAI’s robust programs are developed through close community partnerships. Program sponsorship allows corporations to better target specific audiences and provides more intimate opportunities for engagement. Program opportunities include History Café, Maker Day, Greet the Season, Movies in the Park, fashion lectures, and more.
Events
MOHAI holds two signature fundraising events each year, providing absolutely critical support to the museum’s work to preserve and share the artifacts and stories of diverse histories.
Each spring, the Innovation Exchange is an opportunity for local businesses, corporations, as well as community leaders and individuals to explore how the Puget Sound’s culturally rich history and diversity contribute to it being a breeding ground of innovation.
Every November, the History Makers Gala celebrates and raises funds critical to MOHAI’s mission and vision. Each year professional, philanthropic, and community leaders attend History Makers to raise their paddle in support of content-rich, interactive exhibits and programs that capture the diverse stories of Puget Sound’s collective past, while framing it within a broader context to understand its lessons and envision a strong future. Sponsor support connects thousands of students and community members to Puget Sound’s history each year.
MOHAI also has opportunities for sponsorship of more intimate fundraising and member events.
